One thing I can say about Dan Israel is that when somebody says “Hey, here’s a new Dan Israel video,” I know exactly what to expect and am not disappointed. On the other hand, I’m never surprised. He seems to be cultivating the same acre over and over, pun intended. He’s solid but sometimes I think he should go through a manic Neil Young electronica phase or at least a Steve Earle ooh I discovered drum machines twenty years later phase. You know, nudge the old env.
