The PiPress reports on local scribe Carlyle Brown’s Pure Confidence, a play about an African-American jockey who rose to earn his freedom in the antebellum south, which has transferred to New York with almost its entire Mixed BVlood theater cast intact. As it turns out, Prince may have been right: All the critics love you in New York.
