Michele Bachmann on tax woes

Because the government hasn’t been spending boatloads of money on anything, so it’s not like they really need our tax dollars.

It sounds idiotic, but that’s exactly the kind of proposal that will play really well in her district.

I guess she MUST be saying things that the people in her district want to hear if they keep reelecting her, but that’s just even more embarrassing. Everyone I know (on both sides of the political fence) think she’s an idiot.

Maybe CREW can start listing the voters in the districts as the most embarassing voters. Bachmann is for investigations and uncovering the anti-Americans, and only anti-Americans would vote so stupidly.

As for taxes, every politician expecting to be elected should realize that “proposing” lower taxes is rule #1, even if it’s a lie or makes absolutely no sense. You can always claim you “fought” for lower taxes. Didn’t Palin get away with that in Alaska even as she raised sales taxes?

It definitely works better than Paul Tsongas-style promises to “tax you bastards within an inch of your lives.”

(ahem)

Whatever Bob, I bet you secretly voted for her. Both my parents denied it, but I know the truth.

I just couldn’t help myself. Those clothes! That sense of style!

The House really needs a middle-aged Fashionista! Other than Barney Franks, I mean.

I think when the dedicated funding sales tax goes into effect next year, I’m going to call in taxed to work.

“Yeah, Kevin here. I can’t make it in today. I’m taxed.”

I encourage you to participate with me. We’ll show this country what it is without its taxpayers.

The what goes into effect?

The sales tax increase for the dedicated funding amendment.

I’m supposed to stay home because I’m paying taxes? What the hell?

I figured if the gay lobby has a one day strike to oppose the will of California voters, I should do a one day strike to oppose the will of Minnesota voters. Tit for tax, so to speak.

Somebody help him! He’s being oppressed!

I’ll stay home for tit. I’m with Kev on that.

I hardly think a small tax is equivalent to stripping people of a fundamental right.

Why just cut taxes? Why not just eliminate them? Taxes are evil and are only used for welfare and to pay lazy bureaucrats.

And then we should attack Iran!

In short, why should our government be any more fiscally responsible than its citizens?

Yeah, and they spend it on faulty jet engines so Marines can crash planes into suburban houses. Can’t we get that for free from corporate airlines and terrorists?
