Poles tend to be a rather short people, in my experience. My grandmother was Polish and she was probably three feet tall. Deaf as a post, too. And would have heart attacks just to spite you.

My guess would be that the seven were not among the illegals found working at the plant; that they were, instead, lawfully working in this country but have since had to find new employment when the plant was shut down. Kudos to them, then, for creating their own “jobs.”
