even if he had an ulterior motive, it’s still a good thing he did.

I would guess that the vast majority of good deeds are motivated by ulterior motives. Even if it’s just the fact that doing something nice or good for someone else makes you feel good.

Well, it makes sense that CP would make fun of Brauer. He’s such an embarrassment to the profession of journalism that today City Pages only linked to two stories Brauer broke.

What’s the beef re: Dayton?

Is it morally wrong for someone wealthy to make a charitable gift? I would think that those comment morons would appreciate the effort … as would the CP dunderheads. If any of them had the good fortune of having wealth, would they make a similar contribution?

mnblrmkr, I guess it’s just easier for some people to assume the worst of others and no doubt a negative article gets more impact than a warm and fuzzy one…especially, it seems, at the CP.
