I have eatten at the Cheetah Pizza in Edina. Nothing to write home about. Many other shops make a better pie.
2:06 pm
Why would you name your business that? After all, everyone knows that Cheetahs never prosper. Okay. I’ll go home now.
2:21 pm
Cheetah Pizza is the epitome of grunt food.
The last two slices that I had there absolutely sucked.
Re: cowboyslims/uptown douchey bars. Thats the problem with uptown it fill up thurs-sunday with d-bags from across the metro.
At least there are bars though. In SLP we got the tavern, lindees and bunnies thats about it.
// who wants to help me finance a kick ass joint in that vacant spot on the corner of texas and mtka blvd.
2:43 pm
Ryanol, I’ll frequent that kick ass joint.
2:49 pm
There is a new Fish and Chips place opening in NE.

Two of the owners are nice ladies I’ve met at Grumpys NE many many times. One is originally from Ireland.
I can’t wait for this place to open!

Thank god we don’t let those kind of people into St. Paul. They’re stopped at the border and are turned away by our local constabulary. NO POSEURS ALLOWED is what the sign says.
3:06 pm
Heard about The Anchor. That’s going to get HUGE cross-over business from the 331 Club.
3:19 pm
@nood Ahh been to the liffey lately.
On a sidenote is it acceptable to call the women who hang out with the d-bags; bagladys?
3:51 pm
An old bf and I once went from Mpls to Shelbyville… er, St. Paul for b’fast and we both swore people could tell we weren’t from there. They were polite enough, but you could tell they frowned upon our leather jackets and non bulky woolen sweaters.
3:56 pm
Funny you should mention that, Jane. Once I went to St. Paul and as soon as I crossed the 94 bridge across the Mississippi, it everything became black and white. Like that movie Pleasantville. It was crazy. It doesn’t always happen but it’s happened enough times that I’m no longer startled by it.
4:05 pm
You should have gone to Anoka County, bix, where everything becomes White…

“That’s going to get HUGE cross-over business from the 331 Club.”
Huge might be a bit of a reach.

“Thank god we don’t let those kind of people into St. Paul. They’re stopped at the border and are turned away by our local constabulary.”
They don’t want them waking everyone up.

Foreigners!

That drive-in looked so much better when it was Wagner’s.
6:40 pm
Barry, I was thinking the same thing. Now it looks like some nostalgic monstrosity. Ugh.
Ryanol, a bar on Texas and Mntka would be way too dangerous!
7:07 pm
Do it, Ryanol! Do it do it do it!

If were talking hospitality in SLP the first thing I wuold develop would be to reopen the bakery with a drive through latte window by the highschool.
I walk like a mile on saturdays to get a damn latte at caribou.
