greatest single tweet I have ever read:
After 3 wks, It’s snowing, & the damned stuff is lovely. It’s like a crazy ex-girlfriend showing up in a bikini w/ tequila and a bowie knife about 10 hours ago from twhirl

I try to like Lileks, but his damn Ready Kilowatt avator put mercury in my walleye!

Favorite local blog?
Since I no longer do the ALAMN blog, I would have to say I like anything by Erica Mauter.
I also like my fellow Minneapolis Metblogs author Doniree.
9:41 am
I used to like prince.org till they banned me

Girl Friday is probably my favorite local blog because I find it the most useful. I have gotten helpful tips from mascara to vegetarian shoes to new eateries from this blog, so it’s at the top of my list of blogs to check in with every few days.

My favorite local blog is sugarsays, but there’re a bunch tied for first, really. Too many, actually. I can’t keep up!

mediation used to be better before it won the award on the same day it made fun of the business providing it.
s4xton.com used to post about topics other than pizza.
Secrets of the City used to be called MNspeak and was run by Rex.
Oh, this was supposed to be about my favorite local blog so: http://becauseemilysaysso.blogspot.com!

@Vote Nader, I think it’s awesome that you think Mediation should hold back opinions due to blog awards. That’s the funniest thing I’ve read all day.
12:35 pm
Mediation used to be better before the stuff that won them an award happened.
12:35 pm
Specifically: Having a strong, snarky opinion. That stuff should have stopped when the blog was awarded.
12:49 pm
Ed Kohler: how much does it suck to have jokes fly over your head?
12:53 pm
I think you actually misfired on the joke there. Unlike in real life, when we can see or hear that someone is being sarcastic or ironic, it is impossible to know that you weren’t dead serious about mediation in your comment.
1:35 pm
Max for simplicity sake…you can just go ahead and assume that I am always being either sarcastic or ironic.
9:03 pm
@ryanol: Okay, but what about Vote Nader?
11:48 am
I would sound like such a suckup if I said “your blog, Max,” but honestly, it’s true.
12:28 pm
Thanks, Jonny.

Thanks, Bob. You’re sweet.
My favorite locals that are people writing about local things and not news sites are: The Deets, 3-Minute Egg, east-lake, doodledee, and Syndicate and Hague.
