It’s a ways away — June 6, to be exact — but where would you go to drink on a light rail pub crawl? I actually think the Twin City Grill at the Mall of America serves a really well-made cocktail, and their aps are delicious.

The Cardinal would be an obvious stop. You can spit at the LRT from their outdoor patio.
How far afield from an LRT station would be in-bounds? Two blocks? Four? Restricted only to walking distance?
12:39 pm
The Loon Cafe
12:51 pm
Houlihan’s at the Limberg Terminal at the airport. You don’t have to have a ticket or go through security gates.
12:52 pm
Sorry, Lucky, I meant Lindbergh Terminal…
12:56 pm
Rick’s Caberet is close to the City Hall/Hennepin Government Center stop, but I would prefer the nearby Little Wagon.
12:57 pm
Likewise, Hubert’s for the Metrodome stop.

For the purposes of this exercise, let’s say 3 blocks maximum radius from LRT stations. One per station, starting @ 1st Ave in order, all being friendly to the (loosely defined) MNSpeak demographic:
Gluek’s – Warehouse
Max @ the Doubletree – Nic Mall
Wagon Wheel – Gvt Ctr
Grumpy’s – Dome
Triple Rock – Cedar / Riv
Blue Nile – Franklin
Cardinal – 38th
Sunrise – 46th
Sea Salt – Minnehaha & 50th
Fort Snelling – Fort Snelling Club
1:21 pm
Is there a way to walk to the Fort Snelling Officer’s Club (Post Rd.) from the LRT stations, or would that get you an airport police beat-down like folding biker guy?
1:39 pm
Hubert’s – Metrodome
Tracey’s – Franklin
2:13 pm
Scooner at Lake Street Stop.
2:16 pm
The Fort Snelling Club is within walking distance of the Fort Snelling LRT station. It’s not the same as the Officer’s Club off Post Rd.
2:17 pm
June 6th is also the day of the ADA Tour de Cure; a morning event. About what time would the pub crawl start?

Don’t call us “Sir,” g_rote, noodleman and I work for a living!
As you were…
2:33 pm
Bedlam at the Cedar/Riverside stop
Whiskey Junction at Franklin
2:46 pm
I know about the 2 clubs @ / near the Fort…just wondering if you can get to the Officers’ Club on foot. I don’t think you can, but want to know if you know you know.
3:02 pm
You could from the HealthPartners stop, but it would be a long walk up Post Road to get their, g_rote.
3:03 pm
Yikes. There, rather.
3:54 pm
My old eyes have trouble making out names of the bars with logos on the link Max provided. Anyone?
6:43 pm
I think you’d have trouble near the MOA end of the line. I don’t think there’s anything for the 28th St. station that qualifies, and for Bloomington Central you’d probably have to hit the bar in the Embassy Suites.

Do we have to wear matching tshirts to participate? Creepy.

I think you have to act like a Zombie.
