[via Strib]: It’s a new bus, wrapped in leopard print, that will pick people up at a State Fairgrounds parking lot and drop them off at the front of the Como Park Zoo & Conservatory. The shuttle service, provided by the city of St. Paul, starts Saturday and will run on weekends through the summer … A survey conducted last summer found that out of the 92 percent of visitors who drove to the park, 68 percent said they would probably use the shuttle service.
This is great news because parking near the Zoo and Conservatory (along with the Como Town amusements and the Carousel) is horrendous on weekends.

Agree this is a great feature. I noticed the signs at the park and looked for info on this last week. Oddly enough, I found the a news release on a German website on green vehicles.
Important for us, because we have a major event there on Sunday, June 7. The Lung Walk draws hundreds of people, and raises money for a good cause (not me!).
I like also that they opted for a low-emissions model. John Siqveland of Metro Transit and I were just discussing this this morning.

So glad to hear St. Paul has its priorities straight. So glad.
