Sad to hear, I went to school with Joey and Shaun and met their mother once briefly. She was a nice lady.

That’s really sad. I met Joey once backstage at First Ave. and was pretty starstruck. He’s a super-nice guy, my condolences to him and the whole family.

Joey used to always come into Schmitt Music Centers when I worked there. He is a swell guy, and one helluva guitar player.

Stay strong Joey, folks care.

I met Kathie on a beautiful Sunday afternoon at Joey and Kathie’s house. My friend Rob VanVranken, who we call “Dutch”, and I had a fantastic day with Joey, Kathie and the family and friends. Kathie told stories, played her favorite cd’s and made sure everyone was having a fantastic and wonderful time! I will always remember that day filled with sunshine, laughter, great friends, music, and great food from chef’s Joey and Kathie!

As Dutch says, Kathie was a Tiger! Indeed!

Kathie and I were good friends in high school. After school she “went flying” ended up in England and we lost touch. Then one sunny day a couple of years I ran into Kathie, Joey and his brother at Maynards in Excelsior. We laughed, talked, talked and hugged. I am very glad we had a chance to touch each others lives again. My thoughts and prayers are with you Joey, and with your family. Kathie love and God Speed!!!

I am so sorry to here about your loss. Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Stay strong and God bless.

Joey is such a great guy, I call him O.F.F. “Our Favorite Finger”. He accomodates all his fans and makes new ones where ever he plays. My deepest sympathies to him and his family. You don’t see long marriages like these in rock and roll, especially through all the rough years these two have shared. I hope he can take comfort in his memories of love.

Joe,
You are in my thoughts and prayers. The service was beautiful. Kathie was always very kind and welcoming when I have been to your house, and all of the gigs. She always made sure we were all O.k. We will all miss her, I’m so glad I had the chance to know her. Thanks for having us over after the service. Your words were very heart felt and touching.
