I find it amusing that Kate uses both GLBT and LGBT in her blog posting. The acronym (and the other dozen variations of it) annoy me to no end. I grew up hearing GLBT but in the last couple of years I noticed LGBT being pushed more and more – especially from those in the media. Lesbians feeling a bit self-conscience? Personally I think it should be in alphabetic order – BGLT (or ABGLTQ).
(I plan on hitting the park one day and avoiding all other related activities – especially the parade)

I can tell you one thing, the Pride rodeo was nothing to be proud of. I don’t know if they are doing this again (Mrs. Lungs and I went a few years ago, when it was in Hugo) and it was pretty lamo.
The goat dressing event was cute, but beyound that, waste of time & money.

yoshi: I noticed the same thing, maybe it’s a re-jig done for political reasons, i.e. not making GAY the very first word, or turning “global warming” into “climate change” as a diversion from the issue until the “global warming” folks adopted it, too.

Just tryin’ to be fair, Yoshi. LOLGBLT. Honestly, I don’t know why I did that. Probably just wordage from different press releases I was looking at. Not intentional. I guess I’d go with good old fashioned GBLT if hard-pressed.

I wouldnt mind being hard pressed right about now.

Going to the parade and possibly the block party. Skipping the festival this year it is just to crowded and Wells Fargo-y for me.
7:59 pm
It sounds like I’m going to the parade and possibly the block party, but am skipping the festival.

We’re going to Chicago which is also having their pride this weekend. Might hit the parade there. It’s also taste of Chicago and we want to see the Cy Twomby exhibit at the AIC.
I totally think it should be BLT-G.

I think it should be BAGL-T (A for Allies or something). If only there were an E it could be BAGEL-T.
4:25 pm
Or we could just call it BAGEL and leave the weird trannies out of it.
just kidding MNspeak trannies!:)
