Guide to New Year’s Eve!

Wish we’d secured a sitter; these events look great! But we’ll be having friends over for dinner.

Things get kinda boozy and scantily clad on Clematis.  The weather in south Florida isn’t up to scratch, but it should still be a decent New Year’s in West Palm, even if I have to throw on a sweatshirt.

I’m watching Jersey Shore and spending some quality time with my cat

I DVRed Jersey Shore. I’m about to watch the Real World: DC. It will be the downfall of Obama, sadly.

Wow, we MNSpeakers are old. I am also staying home and having some friends over. Just bought the board game ‘The Game of things’, which is supposed to be a hoot. The good thing is I will be home, won’t have to drive, and can pay full attention to gettin my buzz on….

As happens whenever anything of a fun, uproarious nature happens,  I get to spend the evening working. But, really, after you’ve celebrated NYE a few times in the past in a very inebriated fashion, it gets to being kind of boring. You learn after a while that a hangover is NOT the best way to start the New Year. So, I’ll save my drinking for St. Patrick’s Day. ;)

“Just bought the board game ‘The Game of things’, which is supposed to be a hoot.”Can  you win money?

Bah humbug.Oh wait. Wrong holiday. Still, plan to stay at work late, then probably do laundry.

Hey!!  Thanks for the shout-out!  However, the show at Club Underground tonight is mostly rock/punk (Skullcranes & The Grande Machine) with a handful of awesome stand-up comics (Gabe Noah, Gus Lynch, Brooks Robinson, and John Conroy)… we’re the only bluegrass.  But, what other kind of bluegrass would one need, honestly??  Happy New Year!!!

We are going to do the Club Underground thing it seems. We will check out Courtney’s band and then see how it goes from there. May stay. May head to a friend’s party. May come home and sleep.

“However, the show at Club Underground tonight is mostly rock/punk (Skullcranes & The Grande Machine)”Northeast. Ahhh, the life. Sure we’ll hear you around Closing Time.

In regards to Turf Club’s show, isn’t the point of doing a tribute to do it to a band people have heard of?  What’s the point of watching an obscure indie band you’ve never heard of do a tribute to another obscure indie band you’ve never heard of?  I mean, who the hell are The Monks? Also, I had never seen Cadillac and Cornbread until Sunday night at Palmer’s.  Highly recommended.

Did you know Paul McCartney was in a some kind of band before Wings? ;)

It seems we are now staying home. I think cjc had to go to work at 4 this morning and now is hanging out with out of town family. I doubt he will make it until 10:00 tonight.
