I don’t know rat. Anybody know how St Paul does it around Grand Ave? Probably not any reason to charge anything other than perhaps a nominal cost to cover materials. It could maybe be managed by the neighborhood assoc.

i agree, residential parking permits is a good idea. if i was a resident, even if i had to pay a fee for the permit…man, it would be worth every penny to sit out there and watch the cars get towed that first week.

True to an extent, but I suspect the reality is that most of the people causing problems, at 2-3 AM, have had more than a “couple of drinks.”

One of the reasons I suggested that they should consider residential parking permits for areas like that.

As Dougie said: They're YOUR patrons. The ones you've been selling alcohol to all night. Yes, you do bear some responsibility for their drunk and disorderly conduct.

but if the bar didn't overserve them and they're basically just being a-holes cuz they've had a couple drinks, it's sat night, they're young, etc...and they piss on a lawn 4 blocks away...well there's not much the bar owner can do about that.

Gabby’s should hold a festival, the way Northfield does, to celebrate “Defeat of City Hall Days.”

Drink specials, a pig roast, beer tent, live music.
