The final dispatch from our Fringe correspondent, Christopher Kidder: The final weekend of the 2009 MN Fringe is upon us, and if the first weekend was any indication, there will be huge goings on. Saturday has show times starting at 1 p.m. and going straight through to 11 p.m. Just before midnight the winners of the Fringe Encore slots will be announced (The best selling shows in each venue get an extra performance on Sunday). (Cont.) One of the things that always intrigues me at the Fringe is how the festival inspires other art, as well. One artist who caught my eye this year is Kay Kirscht. In past years she was the person who did sidewalk chalk art to promote different plays. This year, she sat in the audiences of the varied venues and drew sketches of the performers.
