Does it protect one from H1N1?

Why would it protect from Hini….with a suit like that your guaranteed to pull tail.

oh wait you mean that terrorist virus everyone is talking about.

“My parents wore these awesome space suits, and what do I get???”

3 medical appointments in one week is too many.

I’m a little green around the gills but so far haven’t sprouted a corkscrew tail. I’ll keep people posted.

mnblrmkr: if only I could get three.

It looks like Timmy just got one-upped downriver by the Republican Party’s other hard-charging, aspirational governor. The Saints negotiated with the state and are extending their stadium lease from 2010 to 2025, in the now-notorious Superdome, of all places.

Kurtis, did we pick which Olsen book we rae reading for MNRead?

chaamps: To be fair, these were scheduled 7, 6 and 2 months ago.

The Singing Wilderness, and I was thinking Sunday, June 14. What park did we want to do it, and what time? If we can sort that out, I’ll post a thread.

Just saw Don Shelby zipping around the Minnesota State Fairgrounds in a Telsa Roadster.

Film at 10 p.m.

Wow, 10 comments in an open thread.  Now can we officially declare MNspeak dead?

Only of you consider the point of MnSpeak to be comments, rather than links. I feel as though Twitter, gchat, and other social media aps have largely supplanted online forums, at least for the moment, but we still get a lot of visits from people who are interested in the links.

I blame the asses who keep commenting on this site.

oh, wait…

My friend and I are not creative about finding places to eat. Aside from Chatterbox and stuff at Southdale, where in or near Edina can we go to eat dinner?

Here is what Jason DeRusha might look like if he shaved his head. (This is for you open thread!)

Bald Jason DeRusha

Bix:
Edina Grill is at 50th and France.

Broder’s is at 50th and Penn and has a deli on one side of the street and regular restaurant on the other.

Convention Grill by 44th & France (on Sunnyside, I think).

I say go to the Chatterbox and get the squash bacon feta pizza. You will curse me and thank me for it.

I like how kwatt pops in every so often to ask if NOW we will admit MnSpeakSOTC is dead. He used make fun/stimulating comments. I wish he would again.

In fact, his MNspeak silence coincides with Obama’s win, if I’m not mistaken. Coincidence?

I’ve been wasting some time with this. A lot of time, actually.

Actually it coincides with two things: 1) changing MNspeak to the SOTC message board and 2) job change has me away from the computer alot.

And I do measure what used to be MNspeak by comments.

I blame the swine flu.

Douglas, from the looks of that, he’s shaved quite a bit of his head away, not just his hair. Either that, or he got several thousand years of human evolution going on there.

Badda bing!

Of all the evolutionary traits that may show up in Jason DeRusha, a larger brain isn’t one I would expect.

He is just experiencing a little meningitis. It is nothing to worry about.

Here, I have shrunk his head a bit. He doesn’t look too bad…

Jason looks almost like James Oberstar!

I’ll see if I can get myself a vacation day from work on 6/14.

Location: Como Park is nice, and not too crowded. Will this be a bring-your-own-picnic kind of deal?

I can identify all four people in that picture L to R: Rep. Tim Faust, Con. Jim Oberstar Rep. Gail Jackson, Rep. Bill Hilty.

I was hoping for potluck Noodle. And Como sounds fine, but there was talk of something more rustic like Afton.

I’d suggest Fort Snelling over Afton. It is just so much easier to get to, but still a State Park.

But no alcohol allowed in State Parks. Regional parks allow it.

State Parks have an entry fee, too.

All right, Como sounds fine.

You can have 3.2 beer in state parks, which means you can probably get away with drinking full strength beer.

I’m not trying to twist your arm, kurtis.

No worries, Noodle. I want this to be a democracy. Como is pretty centrally located and has a squirrel or two. Works for me.

RIP, Dom DeLuise. Here’s a shot from his film debut, the nuke war drama “Fail Safe,” staring Henry Fonda.

Yes. Absolutely. Obviously.

Well, we were just waiting for the word from Lazlo.

Ah man!

Victor, we read five times that you were killed, in five different places.

Truth has a way of ultimately rising to the surface, despite the efforts of those trying to prevent that.

Let’s see how things shake out.

You may be thinking of oil.

http://www.mnspeak.com is still the link that I follow to get here!

BartelCartel.com still works too.

Well, no matter how clever you are, Lazlo, you still needs an exit visa… or I should say two?

Again, let’s see what happens. Maybe a matter or months, or weeks, or days.

Well, we all gotta go sometime. Thanks for the reminder of the inevitability of mortality.

Not human mortality; mortality of a business venture.

Well, again, thanks for your concern, but unless you have some actual information to contribute, you’ve made your case.

Max, that is the leader of the French resistance you are speaking to!

Of all the gin joints, in all the towns, in all the world, he walks into mine.

I am shocked… shocked!… that it took three Casablanca references before somebody made this one.

I was enjoying the more off the beaten track quotes, but for those not familiar with the movie you have to give them something they may recognize so they have an “aha” moment realizing that they were actually movie quotes.

“Ilsa Lund is hawt.”

That’s a obscure quote from the movie. Tough to catch.

I suspect Lazlo is not the bold leader of the French resistance, but instead a guy who left in a snit from an obscure message board couple days ago.

Then why are all these refugees standing and singing “La Marseillaise”?

He blows with the wind and today the wind blew from Vichy.
