Can't be more predictable than yankees.
Enh, at least some good came out of it. Eventually.
If Hardy can find his form from two years ago it will be a fantastic trade. Go-go was at best a defensive center fielder. If he could have learne...
I agree. The Yankees are boringly predictable.
This is why the Twins are the Twins and the Yankees are the Yankees. Let's see, should we go for Hardy or Teixera? Hmmm.
I tink peraps it is te curc of Crist, Marybet414.
If I can c(h)ime in...I left the 'H' behind years ago and indeed there is no better way. The church of Crist... Bless you all.
I like the guy, but I have to admit he was a bit disappointing.
Just about every time we went to a game at the dome, you'd hear "fans" (quote marks emphasized) trashing GoGo loudly, which made me want to stand ...

WCCO seems to be the first to have posted an actual story: http://wcco.com/politics/supreme.court.senate.2.1065407.html
Man, that was fast!
1:16 pm
Wow. I was just having lunch with Blois Olson and he turned his phone off. He’s going to be pissed off that he missed this breaking news.
1:21 pm
Another month and we could’ve gotten a baby out of this. Maybe. Or not.
It’s somewhat surreal that the Minnesota senate race and Michael Jackson’s body viewing are the breaking news stories on CNN.
1:22 pm
I voted for him, but I’m underwhelmed.
1:25 pm
I know. His last eight months in the Senate have been marked by inaction.
1:27 pm
Two thoughts:
1. Bob, having lunch with you is far more impressive than getting breaking news on a Senate election. Blois is probably name-dropping you right now! “…I was with Bob Mr. Lungs when the announcement was made…”
2. We seemed fine with only one senator. Two almost seems excessive. After all…

BTW, as of June 21st, technically this dumb thing lasted for FOUR seasons.

Well, Coleman’s been beaten by an ex-wrestler and a comedian. What’s next for him, but a run for governor? The job he wanted in the first place.
As one person said, if you look at it certain way, it would be like he never even lost, he’s just continuing a campaign.
1:37 pm
Fast indeed — just in time for the summer recess.
2:25 pm
Press Conference for Coleman scheduled for 3PM. Press Conference for Franken scheduled for 4:15.
2:59 pm
Rat: “I voted for him, but I’m underwhelmed.”
You voted for Norm? Is this breaking news?
3:00 pm
Pawlenty told CNN that he’d sign the certificate placing Franken if the Supreme Court decided in Franken’s favor.
Interesting hypothetical…
What does T-Paw do if the national Republican Party brings pressure to bear on him not to sign it so that a filibuster-proof majority can be forestalled / avoided ?
3:05 pm
Norm conceded.
3:06 pm
That’s not quite right, g_rote. The Gov. said he would sign IF the Supremes directly ordered him too in their decision, which they did not.
He has practically begged the Court to get the monkey off his back and give him an “out.” They didn’t bite.
3:06 pm
wow, mjm…confirm that, anyone?
3:07 pm
Oh yes, I heard it live, Coleman conceded.
3:07 pm
The Twitterverse confirms it. It’s over, folks!
3:08 pm
Live from the presser — turn on KARE11.
3:21 pm
Franken’s victory comes as some important issues loom large in the Senate, including a SCOTUS nominee comfirmation, the energy and climate bill the house passed on Friday, and health care reforem legislation.
Technically speaking, he’s Senator 60, but it is a little more complicated than that.
3:53 pm
I am so happy FOR PAUL, FOR PAUL, FOR PAUL and Sheila).
Justice, at last!
3:53 pm
Norm took the monkey off Pawlenty’s back Bob.
4:22 pm
Timmy did say this weekend that he would sign the cert even without being forced to. We’ll never know if he was telling the truth or not…
10:37 am
I’m interested to know if Franken will get paid his Senate salary for the past several months. If so, I think that might annoy me.
10:49 am
The answer is no, Jane. See Jason’s Station for more Q & As. The idea to explain the amount of $ spent in terms of U of M tutition came, in part, from me.
10:51 am
Jane, no he won’t. That was reported several months ago, and Jason answered it last night too.
He won’t get paid until he’s officially sworn in.
Interestingly, I read yesterday that he can take an oath of office from a local judge, and would then have an official budget so he could immediately hire staffers. But, he won’t be able to vote or do some other official duties until sworn in at the Senate.
11:13 am
Thanks! I don’t need no stinkin’ teevee news when I have you folks.
9:46 pm
If Norm decides to run for Gov. (and gets the nom), can we get Diablo Cody to move back and run on the DFL ticket?
Or are there any Minn. born porn stars he could lose to?
