To be fair, I would have hated Juno regardless of who made it and enjoy Coen brothers flix. Although, the amount of explaining I have to do involving Fargo being in ND and not all MN sounding like that, almost makes me wish they’d never made “Fargo”. Is it really backlash if you never thought it was good?

Not saying she isn't or is a good person; just saying that the way the she and the movie was covered was an annoying trope that's used over and over and over. Whether that was her fault, or whether the media unfairly ran with the story is beside the point. That said, a lot of local media certainly got pretty riled up against her personally because of her quick rise, which seemed pretty dumb.

Oh, the DB hatin is for certain good ol’ Twin Citian jealousy. Although I agree with Max in that it’s impossible to criticize her work without being branded a jealous/hater/anti-feminist. Technically speaking though, has anyone noticed that she is a little too zealous with her adverb usage? Or am I just a jealous/hater/anti-feminist?

Having admittedly hated upon her once upon a time, I’m certain that most of the backlash is the result of jealous backbiting on the part of would-be authors.

And did someone anonymously say she had a “Heart of Gold”? Becuase I’ll bet she’d be the first to deny it.

I met someone last week who knew her. Said he had a lot of opinions and an encyclopedic knowledge of movies.

If having a lot of opinions is bad, everyone on this board is screwed.
