Several years ago, our own justbob came up with the current name, “DeBlog,” but it just doesn’t seem to be holding, as everyone calls it Jason’s Blog. What can possible override that?

No worries, Ryan. I didn’t even tell anyone I was posting this appeal to change the name. People seem to like DeBlog more than I knew, so maybe I’ll keep it the same. I will be on WCCO-AM Radio Tuesday (tomorrow) afternoon from 1-3pm, so I’ll call that Rush Hour with JD for you.

As I commented on deBlog, it was nice of Jason to give me a nod as the original namer. I love the idea of using the name (and terrific graphic image) created by MNspeak’s own Douglas Gogerty: “From DeRussia With Love”

Naming a blog is a strange thing. I went with my inspiration, which seems like a common theme. Jason, why did you get into teevee in the first place? Have a teacher or an old hero that got you started? What do you do when the job gets you really worn out or blue or just feeling crappy? That’s how you put a little heart into a blog – something that other people think sounds a bit strange – but is still catchy.
