I agree. The Yankees are boringly predictable.
This is why the Twins are the Twins and the Yankees are the Yankees. Let's see, should we go for Hardy or Teixera? Hmmm.

Just about every time we went to a game at the dome, you'd hear "fans" (quote marks emphasized) trashing GoGo loudly, which made me want to stand ...

Charge an excise tax on hipsters…$1 per handkerchief, double down in Uptown and NordEast.

I recommend this for the State too: 4 day work weeks. It saves on energy costs for both lighting and heating/cooling.

Are they still moving ahead with those water fountains at $50K each. Did a little reasarch, but I came up dry.
That seem a bit extravagant.

Rat, I think, as a capital expenditure that comes out of a different pot and can’t be touched for operations. Could be wrong, but I think that’s the case. Plus there were some arts grants and other assorted nonsense in there that makes that money untouchable by police and other necessities.

Given the way so many people complain about how confusing the snow emergency regs are in Minneapolis, I would suggest scrapping city plowing all together and requiring Minneapolis residents to shovel their own damn streets.
Not only would it save a bundle of money in the short- and long-term, it would get people out for exercise. Then the city, and its residents, can proud of being named America’s healthiest city!

You mean they haven’t done this already? Have you seen the residential streets? Have they gotten the plows out this year???

Maybe they shouldn’t have five workers doing nothing standing around one worker digging a hole in the street.
Just a thought.

How about they stop landscaping in some areas and let it return to wild grasses and wildflowers? You can do that with small areas and after a scrappy start, it looks good. Well, good enough.

I don’t have a garage, so I can tell you that that Minneapolis plowed the non-snow emergency routes exactly once, and didn’t tow anyone on my street, so we have ruts and snow berms that will probably be there until April.

yeah . . . noodleman! I’ll get out there in my wheelchair right now and shovel. Thanks for the tip!
