By itself, the “cousin” relationship is pretty meaningless, and if you come from a smaller community, it’s probably almost impossible to not have some relation to everyone else. If they have common grandparents, that’s pretty gross, but if we’re talking seventeenth cousins five times removed, who cares if their families do celebrate Christmas together.
