City Pages publishes a comic about Michelle Bachmann, which seemed inevitable. The comic makes the case for Bachmann’s undeniably extremist positions, building the case exclusively through Bachmann’s own quotes, and asking why local media never exposed her extremism. Needless to say, the comments on the story have been … interesting. One expects they will get interestinger.

and asking why local media never exposed her extremism.
That strikes me as an odd and unfair criticism. Rep. Bachmann was a lightning rod for controversy and media scrutiny long before she ran for the US House seat in my district.
If any voters/citizens claim they did not know of her outspoken views, before, during and after the elections she has won, they havn’t been paying much attention.
I suspect that our local media do not give her the full “MSNBC treatment” because we have become accustomed to her in this state. Nationally, she is still a bit of a novelty act.

Gorski and Prendergast should be fitted for tinfoil hats as well.
I think the freezer foil works a little better.

What’s with the Bachmann comics lately? Tooning to the choir. It’s getting sorta boring.

I note that serial Bachmann critic Eva Young is among the commentors. She and the oddly named Ken Avidor are behind the long-running “Dump Michelle Bachmann” blog.
