I like the great but tiny deli food at the Surdyk’s cheese shop around the corner from the Red Stag.
Their Spicy Peanut Noodles are a guily pleasure.

Al…you gotta bring the wife and try Urulas Wine Bar in White Bear Lake. I must admit to being Mom to Chef Andrew Whalen, but I am very hard to please! His food is local and delicious. One of my favs, Geschnetzeltes mit Rösti.
This dish has small pieces of meat, (veal, chicken or pork) muchrooms, cream, onions and sherry served over butter rosti; a butter browned hash brown. Thank goodness this dish is not available all the time!
Curt, the friendly owner has one of the best wine lists in the state. You will not be disappointed.

Tell him Mom sent you.
