A Letter from Mumbai

An eery letter The Rake got from Adam Minter two years ago: “…there was little indication that any serious effort was being made to halt potential attacks.“  And here’s a blog post he wrote on Friday with pictures of Mumbai’s “security.”  “In Bombay, we are in God’s hands.”

Apparently, our very own NSA got wind of something happening in Mumbai as far back as September and passed the intel along to the Indian government (whose RAW unit also caught wind of something as early as late August) … but it didn’t make it on down to the local Mumbai security authorities:

I personally prefer “earie” as in, “Them elephants sure are earie.”
