But here’s the Shadow Percussion Project, an extracurricular project of Minnetonka High School’s Percussion Ensemble, performing works by DJ Shadow (Wikipedia reference) on May 16 of 2005. That’s right: trip hop performed acoustically by high school kids.

neat!
i hate windows media player with a passion, and the 62megs is a bit much, but i’ll eventually get to the video.
it’s nice when high school students are introduced to a variety of stuff instead of just “Jazz classics” or “Hits from the 70s” garbage dance and songs.

Sometimes, the best stuff on the internets is found over and over again.
P.S. I saw Shadow play once with a live jazz drummer. It’s a thing to behold, considering the prevailant use of drum machines these days.
