Authentic forms of Neapolitan culture, art and pizza, will be brought together at a special event to honor contemporary artist Lello Esposito at Punch Neapolitan Pizza in Northeast Minneapolis on Tuesday, November 7 from 5-10 p.m.
Punch Neapolitan Pizza is currently displaying two of Espositos paintings at the Northeast location Maschera Marrone (2006) and Maschere Rossa (2006). Both acrylic paintings dimensions reach 106 ½ by 74 ¾ and are each valued at $30,000.
Esposito has worked for the last 30 years as a sculptor and painter in his native home of Naples, Italy. His abstract art showcases symbolism of European culture, nonfigurative shapes, and quizzical subject matter. Espositos artwork is famous in Italy and abroad and he recently began showing his work in the United States.
