Bin Laden’s probably hiding in one, Saddam was found in one (sorta), and–closer to home–kids have lost their lives in them and gangsters squatted in them: given this context, the Walker’s two caves, an immersive tunnel constructed from cardboard and packing tape by Swiss artist Thomas Hirschhorn and Cameron Jamie’s room-sized, chicken-wire-and-stucco pathway offer an eerie antidote to art on the wall. Jamies’ closes on Sunday, Hirschhorn’s opens on Saturday. Have you seen ‘em, will you see ‘em?

Jamie’s is a must-see, especially before Hallowwen. His cave room leads to vampire pictures!

I’m predicting an 80% chance that that this post stays free of partisan rhetoric.

My wife and I went to the Walker the day after our wedding and stumbled upon Jamie’s exhibit. I highly recommend it. It’s so Indiana Jonesesque. It’s also incredibly scary – if you find dead silence, near darkness and suspense frightening.

Aaron…there’s scary dead silence, near darkness and frightening suspense after every wedding.

I was in Jamie’s but apparently didn’t follow the correct path. I’ve been meaning to go again and smuggle in my own flashlight, ’cause that torch was just too dim.
