This city could use about 10,000 more taxis. Does St. Paul regulate the same way?

It’s not just a question of who owns the water, but our natural resources in general. Instead of the government profiting directly from all the oil, gas, coal, and minerals buried beneath our state and federal lands, we simply lease them to corporations, and ask for royalties (which they will snake out of, anyway).

Hey, here’s a misc. local link for you. I just got a letter from Christopher Tolkien’s lawyer. As in, J.R.R. Tolkien’s son. I guess he didn’t like me calling him a big prick on my blog in 2004. Oops!
