As a life-long Piston’s fan, I wanted to introduce myself to Rodman, but the best icebreaker I could think of was “I don’t know if you remember, but I played basketball with you during the summer of 1989 at the Detroit Jewish Community Center”…certainly not one of my stronger pick-up lines. For Chelsea all I could think of was, “geez…you’re not as ugly in person as I thought you would be”

I was walking down the street, and this dude lowers his car window. I figured he was going to ask for directions, so I walked over. What’s funny is grote’s wife gets out of the car… and G sits inside with the engine running talking to me. Finally we told him to get out of the car.

And really, I had more makeup on than Rodman? Wow. Just trying not to look too pasty on the teevee.
