The funniest part of all these bribery convictions is how small the amounts are. Going to jail over a few thousand bucks. How stupid is that? Nobody can dispute what small thinkers Minneapolis council people truly are.

I guess I am really disappointed in any city council person or other elected gov’t person taking any sort of bribe.
4:51 pm
They take bribes all the time, but they’re in the form of campaign contributions.

I remember when $1,000 could get you a photo with the President. Damned inflation.
5:34 pm
$1000 will get you a photo with me.

sheesh…one appearance on Tucker Carlson and your appearance fee goes through the roof…I’ll bet that Tom will pose for a few Miller Lites.

Miller Lite? Please. Minimum Sam Adams.

are you telling me he’s an elitist too?

Come on now. Drinking Sam doesn’t make you an elitist. It’s not even an import.

He was under the impression that the money was to be used for fundraising for a lawsuit.

Well, that’s it. I’ll never vote for the greens or any 3rd party in my lifetime. Yet third party movements these days are nothing more than cheerleaders for the GOP, so that they can split the vote against the Dems or any other liberal canidate during any mid-term election. And basically, I’m tired of it; I don’t want my entire generation getting wasted by the Neo-cons political establishment in the next several decades. In fact, I hate to see our country going extinct by the so-called GOP majorty right now; they are not consertatives; they are mainly anti-american crap that wanted to destroy us and our values. And the 3rd parties, unfortunally, are feeding them power.

What we need is more voter loyalty. Remember that highly-acclaimed book that came out in 2004 called “What’s the Matter With Kansas?” where the author was confused about why Kansans vote republican when they clearly should be voting democrat. Well most of the rich people I know vote democrat. They should be voting republican. And I know a guy who never goes to church and he votes republican. What’s up with that? He should be voting democrat. And Bush is the best friend Israel ever had yet most jews vote democrat. And my friend who owns a lawn service votes republican yet he’s a gay black man. WTF?
We need people to vote the way they’re supposed to and the whole process of election campaigning could be done away with.
The way I see it, republican voters should be rich, white, straight, male, business owners, church goers and military veterans.
Democrat votes should be poor, black, gay, female, union workers, atheists and anti-war protesters.
Now stay in your lanes people! (sheesh)
