Israel is not the Woody Allen of the Middle East. Hordes of Jews with chips on their shoulders surrounded by countries who wish they didn't exist don't tend to worry about the humanitarian consequences of ordinance expenditures, so they'll wipe the floor with Lebanon and won't be stupid enough become an occupying power (again).
