Isn’t it “Horked?”

hooters next to a rush limbaugh billboard in downtown mpls – oye. are trying to get the republican convention in 08 or something?

I asked then, and I’ll ask now. How do you suppose dude got home brew into The Herkimer?

Horking. Awesome. I want to do the news story when those two meet up and get married.

At least I could read the “love thy bro.” I feel so left out when I can’t decipher my local tags. How will I know what set to represent?

“There’s those guys who horked our clothes!” – Strange Brew

So, horked would probably mean stole (in Canadian I would assume). I think yorked is the proper verb.

cjc: finding people with a clue about beer at Herkimer is like finding Italian food conoisseurs at The Olive Garden. Some beer geeks are claiming that the situation has improved there, but they still seem to keep going to Town Hall.

There’s a simple question to ask yourself, if struggling to determine whether something is right for Block E: “does Mall of America have one?” It takes some nerve to say it doesn’t belong there, when there are already so many lamely themed bar & grill joints already in the building, The Olive Garden and Friday’s across the street, and the Seville, Rick’s, the Skyway, and “The Vu” not much farther away?

Another ice cream shop is opening in Uptown (on top of Caruso’s and Cold Stone) — makes you wonder all the more why the “Häagen Dazs Cäafe” couldn’t make it. I’ve already told the story about eating lunch one summer afternoon, and seeing several people desperately tugging at the door, refusing to believe the sign in the door saying they were closed for the holiday.

Ah…Champs I’m guessing you haven’t been downtown in a while. The Olive Garden and TGIF’s closed over a year ago. The Friday’s space is being converted to a Brazilian Meat resturant.

Oh yeah in case you haven’t heard the Nankin closed too.

Wow, whatever happened to…oh I don’t know…cooking for yourself?

I’m pretty sure Hooter’s is not all about the food.

Anyone know what kind of happy hour they have? I’ll go to Saddam’s Spider Hole bar if they have good happy hour specials.

Sometimes Mac and Cheese and party pizzas just don’t cut it, Ironic.

Mac and Cheese and Party Pizzas will work…if you Iron Chef them up a little bit.
Try a mac and cheese party pizza.
Whooo.
Party Pizza Ice Cream.
Whoo.
You get the idea.

I’m guessing the only tool in Max’s kitchen is a bottle opener.

Not that there is anything wrong with that…

I’m the only tool in my kitchen.

Oh we all need
Someone
we can york on
and if you want it baby
you can york on me

mick jagger…?

I was tempted to make the same joke, Max… but I thought better of it.

Might be good advice for me to follow in general with my commenting :-)

Bottle opener AND corkscrew, I’ll have you know. I’m teh high class.

So has anyone noticed that things are not going real well in the world?

Oil = $77 a gal.
Potential for massive war between Israel and Lebanon.
Dow <11,000

I’m a little worried.

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that there’s little potential for a massive war. Israel is not the Woody Allen of the Middle East. Hordes of Jews with chips on their shoulders surrounded by countries who wish they didn’t exist don’t tend to worry about the humanitarian consequences of ordinance expenditures, so they’ll wipe the floor with Lebanon and won’t be stupid enough become an occupying power (again). Unlike some countries with an abundance of military might…

Yeah, we Jews will spare no expense in making municipal laws.

Surely, those who are against embryonic stem cell research are also against fertility clinics, which also destroy human embryos.

Wow, I guess I really don’t live it up down there. Who could have expected that an Applebee’s across the street could be trouble for a Friday’s? I’ll mention The Olive Garden again because I just don’t give two shits about it.

Is it passé to mention that MNspeak was better when rex owned it? These days, there isn’t nearly enough Diablo Cody stalking in the posts, or bud (jr.) trolling in the comments.

And does that mean Block E is never going to get a Hulk Hogan’s Pastamania!, either?
