RE: Wireless and food, the minneapolis public wifi is supposedly going to pilot in the next few weeks in selected areas here and here [adobe pdf links].

i visited the schells brewery today and it was one of the most magically cool places i have ever been to. it smells like flowers, college and history. there are roaming peacocks that actually have all of their feathers (or whatever they have) and the beer is always good.
