Please! Saint Paul and Minneapolis don't need either the Dems or Repukes from Washington in town for their national convention. We already have enough national publicity like former Guv. Jesse Ventura, Garrison Kellior, Al Franken, the Twins stadium fiasco, and Josh Hartnett for god sake. Let te two parties ditch each other out in other cities like Miami, Chicago, or San Francsico(or Berkley) where the crazies can riot all they want, outside the convention halls for media coverage drama. And besides, why would anyone throw a presidental endorsement party in an open air ballpark where the next-door trash burners spew out stinky pollution that makes anyone to barf, after eating a foot long hot dog?

Oh Please! Saint Paul and Minneapolis shouldn't host either poltical party on Captiol hill for the 2008 presidental election. Already we have enough worldwide publicity like Guv. Jesse Ventura, Garrison Kellior, Al Franken, the Twins Stadium debate fiasco, and Josh Hartnett for god sake. We don't need a stinkin convention for the special intrest lovers on K-street. And beside, why would anyone throw a presidental endoresment party at an open air ballpark, where you could actully smell the enrich trash burners, owned by Hennepen County, doing 100 RPM in full spin cycle, causing you to barf?

kwatt: He also missed this story, which I expect to be addressed by Kate Parry this weekend. When a former publisher takes out an ad that is the subject of a news story readers deserve some transparency.

I am confused, Kevin. The article describes Joel Kramer as "former publisher of the Star Tribune and founder of think tank Growth and Justice that organized the 'Invest for Real Prosperity' fiscal strategy." How much transparency do you want?

I disagree that City Pages is off base in their highlighting "Faggot" just because only one member of the four member band is a homosexual. I think it's radical that heterosexuals would want to be a part of a queer expression. It isn't because I think queers need to be validated by the presence of straights or that a "let's all get along" message needs to be pushed, but rather that expressions that sometimes get our radical notes on sexuality and gender needn't be confined and if there are queer artists working under label of mainstream or "straight" work then why not the other way around? Shit is all fluid, you know what I'm saying? =)
