Who Wants to Tango?

Sorry about the bad link on above post to asthma research and programs.

Well, I used to be a dance instructor at Arthur Murray, and, of course, I’m something of an afficinado of old fad dances, so I might just show up.

Yay for swing dancing!

My girlfriend and I once took tango lessons, during which she discovered that I am afflicted with Navin Johnson Syndrome. With apologies to Rudolph Valentino (I do appreciate the 2-for-1’s, if not the BBQ), the tango is once again forbidden.

I can dance – just not salsa or tango styles :)

Salsa.
Cumbia.
Merengue.
Bachata.

Whoohoo!

Smoke ‘em if you got ‘em.

Here’s a link to the tango instructor’s website.

Your friends don’t dance and if they don’t dance, well, they’re no friends of mine.

Will there be Krumping?

That’s a pretty old fad dance.

We were so in phase In our dance hall days.

Sorry to be curmudgeonly, but is this an event posting now? The asthmadance and IFP’s rummage sale–both worthy events!–maybe could be posted in the event calendar, lest we get overrun by promotions? Just sayin’.

Waitasecond. Tango lessions? That can’t be good!

So many sticklers….

I’m up for some salsa if there are some good dance partners out there..

OFF TOPIC: The Deuce Deuce is safe for now!

tango is the new swing. seriously… i’ve danced a little of all the ballroom dances and argentine tango is one of the most complex, yet incredibly fun dances. you guys are gonna love it!

“Waitasecond. Tango lessions? That can’t be good!”

Tango lessions are one of the signs of that highly contagious disease, Dance Fever. According to the U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security Handbook on Dance Fever, there is no known cure for this dance sensation that is sweeping the nation. That is, it could sweep the nation, if it mutates into a form dangerous to non-hipsters. Citizens should stock up on canned goods, water and duct tape, just in case.

The very young and tragically hip are especially at risk of Dance Fever. However, studies have shown no link between wearing white belts and little black glasses and this disease.
