Clue, Stratego, Parcheesi, Risk, Candyland, Battleship, Monopoly, Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit, Anagrams….I know I’m omitting a bunch.

Gotta love it when a chain like Perkins moves out and a local establisment moves in. Take that gentrification!

I’ll still choose to go to the original, but I’m looking forward to checking this one out. Bonus since I can walk to it or take a quick bus.

Yeah, you’re omitting all the old-school 8-bit NES action. I still have my Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out chops!

Best thing about the Chatterbox is they’ve found a way to only attract patrons between 25 and 35. I don’t know how they do it!

I walked in and walked out tonite. You had to have a pulsating pager in order to score a table…even a podium table near the bar. I suppose the charm was about as good as they could come up with, working with a former Perkins and all. But I’ll take The Spot anyday over that.

I haven’t seen it, but I can’t help but think about Molly Quinn’s moving into a former Ember’s.

What a buzz kill.

hipsters like yuppies as in the other chatterbox?

I love the orignal Chatterbox…but…as far as this new one goes, well I am not certain if I can allow myself to have fun in a strip mall bar; though I did try many times when I lived in the Chicago ‘burbs (kinda the only option there). Guess I will have to go and give it a shot.

Does anyone know if they have Contra there?

Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, B, A, Select, Start

Never underestimate the power of appropriated architecture.

hm, it’s inbetween light rail stations
but maybe on a nice evening I’ll bike down there and check it out anyway!

The (original) Chatterbox rox. Haven’t been to the new one, but the original has great food, good beer, and as mentioned above, retro games. I can attest to the fact that there are some patrons OVER 35, but we are rare and generally behave ourselves. The Wednesday night open mic is a lot of fun (plug plug).

You must not look it then! Congrats!

Went there on a ladies’ night out to play The Game of Life.

The staff were very eager – we had four people checking on us!! The crowd seemed to be in their 20s – I’m sure the word will get to the nearby campuses fast if it hasn’t already. The decor is a bit much but I’m sure that’s what they were aiming for.

All I can say is don’t get stuck being the banker and you’ll have a great time!

I could pass for 34.

the Chizzlebizzle is my home away from… alright I live behing it.

the only problem with the old chatterbox is you walked out of there smelling like you’d bathed in piping hot crisco. the new one lacks some of the charms of the dingier old one, but i just have two words for you: FREE DARTS.

msparber: not from here you couldn’t.

Why does this place get so much love….

… when the service is so awful.

Yeah you have Yahtzee… and some clever decoration… but your waitstaff need to all be taken out back and shot (both locations).
