Maybe the Twin Cities really are getting too unsafe. The head blogger over at minvolved, Mr. Sponge, just closed up shop after receiving e-threats to his family. Looks like it’s rough times even in the blogsphere.

I suspect they were sent by Nigerians. I recieved a treatening letter the other day that began “Greeting ofthe Day! I am writing you representing the estate of the former treasurer of Nigeria. His family is most displeased by the content of your blog …”

It is appalling to see that some can only resort to threats involving a blogger’s family rather than debate the topic which they disagree with in a civilized manner.
