This is the Big One… let’s see how nicely all the DFLers who want this seat will play together.

Probably all we agree on is that baseball rocks, but thanks for devoting your best years to the republic.

I think they could have the primary outside my house right now, there’s a bunch of folks walking by.

Hopefully it will be essentially decided at the 2006 CD5 DFL Convention on Saturday, May 6.

What if there’s no endorsement?

The over/under for the primary election spending by all candidates starts at $8 million.

DFLers need to start pushing for instant runoff voting right now – not only will it make the process of endorsing a candidate for the CD5 seat more amicable all around, it will prevent an organizational nuclear meltdown if dozens and dozens of candidates through their hat in the ring.

Erlandson hasn’t announced yet – he’s still considering.

I couldn’t agree more about instant runoff voting, Noah. It’s too bad there are a lot of Democrats who don’t. IRV would help good candidates, be they Green, DFL, even Republican! win, and would also help decrease the influence of big money.

I trudged through the anti-war march gathering on my way to do some errands yesterday, and saw a placard for at least one person who wants the 5th CD seat… but I think Nelson-Pallmeyer was all set to go with this one.

You mean the anti-America march?
