The new Minneapolis Central Library will have quite a bit of new art incorporated into the building. You can see some plans here. The library opens to the public May 20. I’ve been in it a few times and it’s going to be spectacular.

Ha ha. Mattress race.

Interesting links today, Matt. Thought the most interesting thing about the GaWC ranking was that we (that is, Minneapolis) are ahead of cities like Seattle and Vancouver, which inspired a surge of mean-spirited joy in my competitive, insecure little heart.

Good piece in the Strib yesterday on the place of libraries. So right.

That Sexton 2 is where I like to park for Twins games. Damn development.

What’s the development schedule look like for the S4xton II development?

It’s odd that I should be referencing this film again here, but I couldn’t help but think Trent Gegax looked really familiar. Turns out he is in Alexandra Pelosi’s Journeys with George. Had no idea he was from Minneapolis. If this information isn’t relevant to you, and it probably isn’t, move along.

Taylor – Grand opening slated for April sometime. This will just be the sales center. If all goes as planned, people will be moving in Spring of 2007 (ish)
