Project Runway Party

I’d be curious to see what some of the designers (Dahli? Molly?) out there think of this. I’m sure the exposure is good, but is there a downside?

Also, this weekend is the LocalHipster event. I don’t know why exactly, but I’m suspicious of that one.

How are we getting free tickets to that?

the mnspeak calendar is missing the most important event of the weekend: the jugband contest at the Cabooze!

That’s where the *real* fashion plates are gonna be! :)

The BotJB isn’t until Sunday, but it will take at least a few days of mental preparation, so it’s a good thing that you brought it up.

If I weren’t trying to date rockin’ Robyne Robinson, I’d try and date a model. We could talk about the new issue of Harper’s Bazaar that I get every month because my co-worker’s daughter thought that’s what I meant by “Harper’s”.

I can’t wait to see Minnesnowta’s version of “straight outta Williamsburg.” The white-belt futures market has to be going through the roof.

While not all of the fashion show/party events are of the highest quality (and others certainly kick some ass), I like to see promoters, designers, models and venues having them – practice and experience can only help make the future of entertainment in Mpls a little bit brighter.

Taylor: I mean it really isn’t on the calendar for Sunday…

taylor, get thee to the Walker on Sunday afternoon! The object of your affection is part of a panel discussion related to the Warhol exhibit. It’s free and looks to be pretty interesting.

Addendum: the other panelists at the Walker thing, besides Robyne Robinson, are Walker curator Yasmil Raymond and Carleton College media-studies guru John Schott (he of the blog Ratchet Up).

Word to that. Schott’s blog had a recent post for Whonu that may have converted me to the new search engine.

Huh, I didn’t catch that event. Totally. Schott’s blog is awesome.
