After being dumped last month, Factotum has bounced back by being picked up by IFC Films. The film — an adapation of Charles Bukowski’s second novel shot in Minneapolis — premiered at Cannes last year, but had its state-side debut at Sundance last night.

Uh oh: “…Henry Cinaski, a boozy writer who would rather seduce women than finish his novel…”
That isn’t very true to the book. Cinaski doesn’t finish anything except bottles of cheap wine.
“When he falls for Jan (Lili Taylor), the soulful connection fails to save either from their self-destructive ways.”
That sounds about right, though.
