He jumped with his iPod? What a jerk!

not sure if this is same guy or not, but “Online Suicide” would be a great band name.

this is a bit of a tangent, but my theory has always been that the ’shoe tree’ on the west bank side of the wash ave bridge is in homage to the suicide of john berryman, who supposedly took of his shoes and left them behind when he jumped. does anyone know if that’s true?

It’s not the same guy. The body on NY Eve was a 30-year-old american indian with a long substance abuse legal history.

I’m pretty sure I’ve committed online suicide in at least 4 other forums.

Wow. Just about every one of these posts has shown a complete lack of understanding about suicide. What complete idiots.

I don’t think it was the same guy. News reports said he was 30, while his suicide note said he was a 20-something. It’s sad nonetheless.

wasn’t me

Maybe he was totally pissed about turning 30. I mean, who wouldn’t be? You’re turning 30 and Lindsay Lohan still won’t call you back. Lindsay, just say hi or something. I’m not a dangerous guy and I’m only 30 so I’m not too much older than you…
That’s it, I can’t take it anymore, it’s in the river with me…
You’ll miss me, Lindsay Lohan.

I knew a person who committed suicide on January 3, 2006.
Does anyone have a copy of his suicide note on the Craiglist?
