news makers, chefs, entertainers, political types, small business owners, students, the people who choose to live there…right?

I’d like to read an article on Mahraja’s.

Of course Saint Paul can never be “glossed up” with all the second hand smoke in local taverns. Another reason to support the smoking ban!

Bob, we get it. Go away.

yeah, go away – you sound like a recovering junkie or scientologist trying turn everyone.

I think that’s someone doing a parody of Bob. Not sure though.

Britney’s right on–it’s about the people who live there and do business in the city. Thanks for the post, Rachael!

MetMediaGroup = a bunch of glossy hacks

Okay, Okay! No smoking comments. Rex is right, that is a bogus Bob. As the comment is almost witty, it can’t be any of the usual suspects.

To hear my comments, you’ll have to buy the debut issue of Saint Paul Illustrated. I’m one of those interviewed in the magazine. Went to the launch party at the St. Paul Hotel — a nice enough affair, with a fashion show (not my cup of tea), live jazz (getting warmer) and free food and wine (now you’re talking!). Spoke with owner/chief of Fhima’s on (that which we do not name) going statewide. He’s a supporter.

Ran into Vinetta S. from KSTP-TV, who said she loves her new morning news gig.

I think these are the same people who publish a silly magazine about Maple Grove that showed up at my house a couple weeks ago. Yes, we get it, Ken Barlow lives in Maple Grove. Or should I say, lived. Hard to believe he left all that MG has to offer for a gig in Boston. Anyway, nice to see a focus on the communities, I guess.

What does “high-interest” mean? People who are highly interesting? People who have a high number of interests? People who lend you money at more than 10% because you have an, um, interesting credit history?

I got a copy of this in the mail; ugh, it’s awful. One Mpls-St. Paul is plenty, we don’t need any copycats.
