Now there we go -- feature requests that have something to do with this actual site.

Alex, your wish is my command. I've got it highlighting for you -- here's a "Vikings" search. (The site search, which actually includes The Aggregator search at the bottom, also has it now too.)

Currently, The Aggregator only stores a couple days of entries from each source (200+ of them), so the reason for nothing coming up when searching for "CJ" is that no one in the local blogosphere has apparently mentioned her in the past few days. I've considered making The Aggregator store data permanently, but there's an inevitable disk space issue...

I like the RSS feed search idea... would the results be MNspeak results or Aggregator results?

I’d like to see the aggregator search improved – maybe highlight the searched words or something. Nice to be able to pick up the chatter about a particular subject without having to wade through the entire aggregator. When I search a term, I just get a shortened version of the aggregator, but I’ll be damned if I can figure out or find the searched word or phrase half the time. Hell, even a search for CJ gets no results, and everybody loves her.

Then maybe offer persistent searches vis an RSS feed or delivered via email, while we’re wishing.

Yeah, I wonder if it's only useful as a gimmick.

I wonder if concentrating on mapping events (like Yahoo is testing with Upcoming.org) would be any more useful.
