You spend every Sunday with the New York Times, right? But where does the Times spend Sundays? The unlikely answer: at the home of some Hmong family in St. Paul, having a nice chicken dinner. Who knew?

Bugmenot is a firefox extension. When you visit a site that requires registration for viewing content like the NYTimes, you can right click->Bugmenot and the extension will look for a login that someone else has created in a database on an online server and log you into the site with that login. You can also add logins to the database from your browser for other users.

Works for strib, nytimes, wsj etc.

Just to clarify: it’s not exclusively a Firefox extension. It’s basically an online utility that gives you passwords to registration sites — one way to use it is as a Firefox extension. (I say that merely because someone who doesn’t know Bugmenot probably doesn’t use Firefox.)
