Zak Moves On

I’ll preface this by saying I’m a fan of Low, but not a huge follower. I remember thinking the first time I heard The Great Destroyer that it was either the end of Low or the start of a rebirth . . . this makes me think that same thought again.

i heard he quit to continue work w/ his new band Hot Tears ;)

mahk wheat informed me via the airwaves last night, in of course the way that only mahk wheat can.

anyway, it’s sad to see zak go. i think that a lot of people assume low is really all alan sparhawk, or at least the alan and mimi show, and it’s true that zak wasn’t there right at the beginning, but i think he’s had a real impact on the band and it will be very interesting to see where they go next. maybe i’m just blinded by hope and optimism, but i don’t think low is going away quite yet. but yeah, that could just be because i really, really, really hope they don’t.

He will presumably be dedicating his time to his start-up book publishing company, La Mano 21.

Or, He could be dedicating his time new his new baby daughter and his lovely wife.

he doesn’t have a daughter, he has a son.
