Rex -- perhaps a more appropriate headline to this piece, if you're trying to reflect KK's opinion, might be:

What's Wrong With The Vikings? America.

Or more specifically, American liberals.

Great, Rex. Must have been being filtered out by a downstream proxy cache then or that page was simply unavailable for viewing for a little while? I'll safely remove my tinfoil hat now and I tip it in your direction!

There are pictures of the event involved Rex and unsubstantiated rumor has it that some are quite *ahem* revealing. Whether those pictures ever see the light of day is up to the parties involved. I'm sure some cash and legally binding contracts will trade hands given the media-savy attorney involved to make sure they do not.

Yes, there were (unsubstantiated rumor) mixed races involved in this incident. And it really doesn't matter if there were or not for the purposes of that post. We all know what the majority of Vikings fans throughout greater Minnesota safely assumed and the image that appeared in their minds regarding this incident. Go to google and do a couple quick searches to hit some forums where less noble fans are expressing their feelings if you don't believe me.

And finally, I didn't initiate the topic. You asked the question of why it was such a big deal implying that in your mind "fucking hookers" is not really worthy of comment if you're living the NFL lifestyle. I was not attempting to troll or bait and kind of agree with you. After all, this buying of women for veteran players by younger players is not a new occurrence. It has been going on for at least a couple of years that I am aware of here in Minneapolis as a "hazing" tradition.

But given that the NFL lifestyle and its inherent moral ambiguity is accepted by minnesotans, (e.g., Randy Moss can do whatever he wants as long as he performs), then what other than the ultra-sensitive race relations in this region can be used to explain this story's longevity in the cycle. Maybe the Vikings' bad record on the field so far this year? Or the idea that somehow Minnesota hookers/stippers weren't attractive enough for them?

I would grant you that a legitimate complaint would be the age and unwilling participation of some of the staff/crew involved but again, that is not exactly public knowledge so I don't think that could account for it.

Rather, this is just another little footnote in the longer history of race and sports. However, the fact that this story resonates more than a little bit kind of mirrors our local society in some of its more ugly respects. And the fact certain parties are using this context to their greatest advantage for political purpose shows just how close to losing their fight to kill a stadium deal they actually were.

As someone responded... This isn't Alabama in 1962. It most definitely is Minnesota in 2005 and Minnesotans and especially metropolitan dwellers have this image of their state and culture and race relations.

And then there is reality.

But you're right this probably isn't really the right forum for such earnest anonymous discussions. The facts and their interpretations will come out in more establishd media outlets for us to consume more properly.

Any recent Scarlett sightings?

Not2Sure: There's an implication here that I've deleted something you've said, which is just plain wrong.

You did write something controversial in this post, which, a) is still there, b) I didn't comment on, and c) I think is very dangerous. Not only do we not know the race of the players involved, we don't know the race of the women involved. And even if we did, I'd still find that route troubling.

But whatever... please don't drag out censorship accusations 'round here. (And please consider using your actual name, since you seem to frequently and intentionally initiate controversial topics.)
