Size Matters In MN

I came across the confusingly named World’s Largest Collection of World’s Smallest Versions of World’s Largest Things the other day, happy to find that they have a huge Minnesota section. Did you know we have the largest Adirondack Chair (St. Paul), Snowman (North St. Paul), Polar Bear (White Bear Lake), Talking Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox (Brainerd), Art Tractor (New York Mills), Otter (Fergus Falls), Crow (Belgrade), Pelican (Pelican Rapids), Booming Prairie Chicken (Rothsay), and Ball of Twine (Darwin). The only ones I’ve seen in person are the snowman and chair. For shame.

That van was at the Art Car Parade this year. Very cool.

I drive by the World’s Largest Tiger Muskie every time I drive up to the cabin in Nevis, and giggle to myself each time.

Well the Paul Bunyan and Babe are no longer in Brainerd and actually never were. The were located in what is now a Kohl’s Parking lot in Baxter, MN.

I may be the world’s largest fan of Roadside America.

It has the worlds largest, smallest, and so much more from coast to coast, including the most complete database of Muffler Men. Now you too can live in Zippy the Pinheads world.

I have the World’s Largest Collection of the World’s Smallest Versions of the World’s Largest Things magnet on my fridge.

The woman who runs the museum is fun to talk to. She quit her real job to drive around to car shows and sell magnets and crap.

is it just me or is that world’s largest adirondack really in mpls? (it’s listed as st. paul.) i think it’s that recently repainted glory on olson memorial highway in north minneapolis.
