Just for fun I checked out all of the Minnesota list member’s campaign contributions using Fundrace. Not a big surprise, but all save a couple were either contributors to GW’s campaign or to the RNC (the others didn’t appear in the database). Billionaires for Bush indeed.
I also wish they’d post an accompanying article on the top 400 philanthropists. It would be interesting too see what sort of overlap there is.

RE: “I checked out all of the Minnesota list member’s campaign contributions using Fundrace”
MN’s list members aren’t really typical.
Run it for the entire 400, and factor in either the ranking number or estimated net worth total, and there aren’t many conclusions that can be drawn.

You could be right. I was focusing on Minnesotans because this is posted on a site focusing on MN, a state which has gone Democratic for president in every election since 1960 (except ‘72).
