The, ahem, Downtown Journal has some good news for procrastinators who like to drink beer in front of their televisions, but have found themselves out of luck when reaching into the refrigerator after Being Bobby Brown. You know who you are, and now you will be able to run out for a six pack and get back in time to watch The Daily Show! That’s right — the Minneapolis City Council will let off-sale liquor stores leave the lights on ’till 10 p.m. Now if only they would outlaw the crime against nature that is 3.2 beer.

So, liquor stores will be open until 10:00 M-Sa, or will the weekend hours go later by two hours as well? Now if only we could get beer on Sundays or at grocery stores.

I work until 10:30 everyday anyway, so I’m more interested in the liquor store being open late on Friday night when I get off work. Or on Saturday night, when I’ve run out of what I bought on Friday.
