Gas Rationing In Minnesota?

I also saw some stories cross the wires today about places in the south (and not just the Gulf south) that had gas shortages.

3.25 a gallon in beautiful downtown savage (bp station). pump stopped pumping at ten gallons. my tundra ain’t but half full…

Ten gallons is plenty for my Civic Hybrid.

For three weeks.

Hey there Rex, My bother ran into this last week. He has a dual tank work van – and the pump stopped and said something to the effect that he had reached his limit. Pretty wild huh?

I am sure our good president will work on this issue- and many more – since he is fresh off his vacation.

8 gallon limit at 27th and Hennepin in Uptown.

Is this supposed to be a bad thing?

In light of the likely shortages that will occur because of the Katrina disaster it seems like a good idea.

It could be traumatic for our local economy and the businesses who are dependent on local ground transportation for their livlihood.

How the hell is the pizza guy going to make a living?

However, it could be really good for 70’s nostalgia and people who drive half of a block to the corner store to buy cigarettes.

Muscle cars are back and so are gas shortages, coincidence??

I bet both of the dailies have reporters out there right now writing this story. I expect we’ll have links tomorrow.

The rationing must be an internal policy possibly due to more people filling up in anticipation of a shortage that hopefully won’t occur. I just reat this article at the Strib http://www.startribune.com/stories/535/5594750.html that explains more. Odd they don’t mention any limit or rationing.
